Report Animal Cruelty

Our investigators respond to complaints of animal cruelty and neglect throughout Bergen County, New Jersey.  If the location of your complaint is outside of our service area, we recommend that you contact your local law enforcement agency.  In New Jersey, the law protects animals from cruelty and abuse and your local law enforcement officials will be able to assist any animal(s) found to be in distress.

If you prefer to call in your complaint, the Bergen County SPCA Animal Cruelty Hotline is available 24/7 at 201-573-8900.

If you believe that the situation you’re contacting us about is an immediate emergency, please contact your local law enforcement authorities right away.  In addition to contacting local law enforcement, please also submit your information to the Bergen County SPCA and we will respond to the complaint right away.
